This is one of the excellent product from Dji… wait… But… As its a chinese company, the Dji Mimo App and its updates are unavailable. You will get a link for the app in the box itself…
But the worst part is … most features are missing for Android version… im using with a Oneplus device and the mimo app in my device lacks some great features .. so this device will be better using with an iphone…

All things good but software of DJI not working on Android phone and there no alternative software for handle gimble now it’s useless for me. And it’s become a selfie stick only wow 8k selfie stick.

I originally gave this product a one star review as there was apparently no charging lead in the box. However I have since discovered that there is a lead. It is hidden under the tripod. Now I don’t know about other users but my first action on opening the box was examining the Stabiliser and then possibly looking for the instruction manual. I didn’t need the tripod until such time as I started using the device and I wasn’t likely to remove the tripod until after I had charged the Stabiliser and got it working with my ‘phone. So come on DJI, use a bit of sense as to how you pack the thing!
Having now got the device charged and up and running with the ‘phone attached, I am pleased with the product and it seems to do all I require of it.
For those who say why didn’t I watch an unboxing video on YouTube my answer is I never watch these mindless submissions, I’m quite capable of unboxing a product. Although not if the manufacturer hides part of the equipment where it’s not immediately obvious.

The product quality and performance is very much satisfactory. The product has ligh level of stability and captures great videos. But the full functionality of the device can be attained only when we use their app “DJI MIMO”, which is not available in Google Play in INDIA. And alternative way is to download the app from their website and installing it which is not recommended by the mobile manufacturers. Still I did it and the app worked for few days and now the app is not working anymore. So it is a waste of money for a person using Android phone unless they make some efforts to get the app available in Google playstore.
But please note that the app is available in apple store and it works well in iPhones. So definitely a great buy for iPhone users.

Quando ho visto questo bundle non capivo come mai questo stabilizzatore per smartphone (o gimball se preferite) potesse costare così meno rispetto allo stesso identico OM4 ma senza quel “SE” alla fine.
Cosa cambia? Nulla! In confezione NON troverete solo il ciondolo adesivo, che molte persone che conosco non hanno usato mai nella loro vita.
A questo punto prima dell’acquisto ho fatto il confronto con le specifiche tecniche sul sito DJI e sono tutte uguali, é una OM4 in tutto e per tutto e non cambia davvero nulla rispetto a OM4 “senza SE” che costa molto di più (a parte il famoso ciondolo adesivo, ovviamente).
Per chi non conoscesse il prodotto:
-peso: 390 g (ma é ben bilanciato, si impugna bene e il peso non si sente, quasi)
-batteria da 2450 mAh, dura davvero tantissimo (dichiarate 15 ore)
-può fare anche da powerbank per il telefono (da non sottovalutare perchè i video consumano molto)
-si carica con USB tipo C, ricarica rapida
-ha il sistema Track 3.0 e Gesture Control, é molto reattivo in generale
-aggancio magnetico con lo smartphone tramite supporto dedicato (e già solo questo fa la differenza)
-Attacco universale da 1/4” alla base che consente di collegare il treppiede in confezione ma anche un’asta da selfie (non inclusa in confezione)
In confezione:
-istruzioni in tutte le lingue (anche in italiano)
-stabilizzatore
-supporto magnetico per smartphone
-spessore in gomma per smartphone “slim”
-cavetto USB C per la ricarica
-laccio da polso di sicurezza
-sacchetto in telo porta gimball
-treppiede (molto stabile)
App da utilizzare per la connessione Bluetooth: DJI Mimo (non collegatela direttamente come dispositivo BT altrimenti potrebbe non funzionare, usate l’App per la connessione).
Alcune riflessioni:
– Perchè non hai preso la OM5? Ho preferito una batteria maggiore e una maggiore escursione degli assi.
– Ma non ha l’asta per i selfie come la OM5! Si può usare il cavalletto per estendere l’impugnatura o comprare un’asta stilo da circa 50 cm ad un buon prezzo su Amazon (io ho comprato Feiyu V3 in offerta). La OM5 comunque si allunga di soli 18 cm, mi sono sembrati un po’ pochi.
– Conviene comprare un prodotto che ha già un anno? Visto il rapporto qualità/prezzo assolutamente sì
Informazioni generali
Con pochissima pratica DJI OM4 vi permetterà di portare a casa dei bellissimi video (a patto di usare uno smartphone di classe medio/alta o alta ovviamente). L’App DJI Mimo mi consente di sfruttare tutte le caratteristiche di iPhone, comunque potete semplicemente collegarlo e usare l’App del telefono se preferite. Attenzione perchè con alcuni modelli di Samsung non puoi usare MIMO per problemi di accessi alla videocamera non consentiti dalla stessa Samsung.
CONCLUSIONE
Se non vuoi spendere cifre altissime, con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo ti porti a casa un buonissimo gimball stabilizzato su tre assi, con una batteria enorme e dei motori molto potenti e reattivi … e che altro vuoi da un gimball? 🙂 . Qualità DJI assicurata da materiali premium, é uno strumento comodo da trasportare e molto affidabile, sembra molto robusto mentre lo maneggi. Alla fine lo userò quasi sempre in modalità FPV ma per me che non sono un professionista é davvero tanta roba, a poco meno ci prendi solo un buono stabilizzatore a solo 2 assi, quindi conviene comprarlo prima che finiscano le scorte.

Best gimbal in the market. I like everything about this gimbal. But i have few issues
1. Not supported 4k 60fps for Android phones
2. No Slow motion
3. If You record Spin Shot Video, the videos are not recorded smothly. In the video footage you can see the vibration/lag

2 issues first major issue was the DJI app is NOT available in the Google App store therefore you have to install an unknown application, this I was really disappointed with and good enough reason not to buy if you have an Android phone. Also the gimbal could not easily handle a large phones like the Samsung s21 ultra took multiple adjustments to get it work. Gimbal returned as this reason.
R&M FLETCHER –
I purchased the OM4 instead of the OM5 as my phone (Galaxy s10) was not compatible with the OM5. As I already had a Manfrotto Monopod my requirements for an extended selfie stick as on the OM5 were not required. The DJI mimo app is ok for filming though I like the extended control in the manual options using Filmic Pro app. Deffo read the manual and gen up on the great YouTube videos on this version of the gimbal. I stuck with the magnetic clamp option rather than have a permanent stuck on attachment on the back of my s10. Found that sometimes the “app” takes a bit of time to activate the camera even with bluetooth pairing switched on first. The ability to quickly switch from Portrait 16:9 to Landscape 16:9 means that you can almost get Insta / Facebook footage nailed and YouTube (16:9 landscape) in the same shoot. With the added portability (including the material pouch) this can be packed away in a ‘daybag’ really easily and you hardly notice the weight difference. (NB I normally lug around 2 old skool DSLRs with primes and Zoom lenses which weigh a ton!) Looking forward to trying it out in press pit at a festival gig and back stage B roll. As with any mobile gimbal you need to get to grips with all of the features before using it in earnest – some of which are a bit of a gimmick e.g. spin but others – like low level shooting – are a real bonus for those of us who can get low down and running without serious injury to knees and spine. Some of the features in the DJI Mobile app could be enhanced – especially in the slo mo area (60fps) and first screen ‘blurb’ in the app becomes slightly annoying after a few uses. The magnet to clip your camera on the gimbal is ultra strong (just make sure you line it up with the markers on the OM4). For Galaxy S10 users make sure the clamp feature does’nt accidentally cover the Bixby button otherwise you will get some crazy stuff going on.
