Received the item in an ordinary packing and not in the packing as shown on website. So returned the same. Cannot comment on quality but it’s unfair to show something on website and not to deliver accordingly.

Good, sturdy secateurs, with a small, button-shaped lever which is pushed from side to side, possibly less than a centimetre, for locking and unlocking, which makes them safer than the usual flip-over lock. Whenever I need a new garden tool, the first place I look is Wolf-Garten and I’ve never been disappointed.

Very sharp. Cuts up to about 20mm with no problem. I like the hidden spring. The lock button is good, and I’ve never engaged it accidentally. The handles are comfortable -if a bit slippery- and should be OK for medium to small hands too. Sometimes I did feel my hand gradually sliding towards the blades, but it’s not a major problem. A better-designed handle or a non-slip grip should have prevented this though.

The built quality is really very good. I have used it to cut a lemon tree branch of quite thick ( at least like my small/ fifth finger or may be a little more) diameter. And it cut the branch without any difficulty. Wow! I can say without any hesitation that one can purchase the item without any second thought. Only the price is a little more. I purchased it Rs 815/- (free delivery).

One would love the precision with which it does it’s job true to German engineering fame. A particular cast iron lever was found slightly rusted requiring greasing. Price could have been a little less.

This is a really well made and beautiful pair of shears for gardening. For the price, this is quite a steal. It goes through fat stems and barks like hot knife through butter – which is such a delight when you are pruning serious divas like a fiddle leaf tree. I couldn’t recommend this enough for every serious to amateur gardener.

This product is highly recommended. It cuts even thick branches well. I had bought it for my home balcony and there it is very useful, easy to use and it opens and shuts with a simple push of a clip. This keeps it in place unlike other pruners I have had, where if the clasp that hold the two sides together gives way then the keeping of this item becomes a problem.

The handles are shorter compared to other local or Chinese and foreign made versions. It gives an immediate feeling of losing the leverage and may be the need for more pressure. However i was pleasantly surprised with its pruning ability. Its flawless. The strength and sharpness of the steel blade is precise and its cuts through with similar pressure required in other pruners. What it lacks in leverage it compensates on sharpness, strength and the USP of having no spring. Its sheer German quality. But its grossly overpriced and the seller needs to consider the pricing post GST. Please check from other sources if there is a price drop before hitting the buy. Product is definitely a recommended buy, price is not. My review is based on my unique experience with the product. I am not paid for writing it nor was i provided any free product for evaluation. I strongly encourage you to consider other perspective and feedback along with this to arrive at your decision.

As a keen gardener for over 20 years I can honestly say these have been a favourite for me, so much so I brought a second pair along with other cutters made by this brand. I really love using them, there lovely and sharp and make the job so easy while very comfortable to use. I would happily recommend these.

Being German made, and the fact that I had asked the seller twice to confirm whether it can cut up to 25mm branches (I know it mentions 19mm max), I had high hopes from this little machine. Now, I am not saying it’s a bad product, maybe I just received a used one with blunt blades (the pruner had a lot of hard scratches) or maybe the product performs like that.

I had a very hard time cutting even 15 mm branches. I had to use both my hands and strength to cut it. The cuts are also not that clean as Wolf-Garten is a reputable brand from Germany.

The seller is nice and agreed for a replacement, but I had to return it, as I don’t think even a new one would be able to cut anything around 20mm. Otherwise, with 10 years of warranty, and with such build quality, this is a really good pruner to invest in. Also, it looks beautiful.

Opening and closing this pruner is a breeze and can be done by only one hand.

The product, however, came in a very bad packaging that was almost destroyed.

Modest in size so comfortable for most hand – sizes. Cuts well up to about 10mm.
Design and quality seem to be ok so hopefully durable to justify the price.

After reading a few reviews I bought this product and it is amazingly efficient! The adverse review that the handles are small is not valid as a secateur (handles) needs to be held close to each other and short handles only can give easy access between branches of plants (not trees!).
Very good German product and a must for gardening enthusiasts!
